End-of-year work and other madness stalled this site for a bit, but we're back with news from Sweetheart Mountain.
It might be cold outside, but we've been warming up some new tunes, going out to some cool open mics and booking new gigs for 2008. We went to the annual open mic at the old Goshen Town Hall in January and roused the resident bat from its home in the rafters with our last tune. What a great place! We also make the trip to Northampton, MA on February 2 to participate in the first Bluegrass and Old-Time Night at the World War II Club on Conz Street hosted by Appalachian Still. A great array of talent and some neat instruments to examine! It happens every first Saturday of the month and is well worth the trek. Contact Arlene at 748-1362 for more details. We've also been jamming with Tim Mayock of The Mayocks at his studio in Granby, CT, swapping tunes & having a good old time.
