Sean MacDonald

“Sean got all the endorphins in the family.”
~ Uncle Andy

The first time my parents gave me free reign of a turntable, I was off and jammin’ on my air guitar. The Beatles, Dylan, Judy Collins, Grateful Dead, the Animals – each better than the last! Later, in junior high, Van Halen and Led Zeppelin ruled the day. I got my first electric guitar in 1986 and fell for the heavy metal and classic rock scene. On June 15, 2001, my life changed forever. My youngest brother was taken suddenly and my priorities and musical outlook were never the same. I craved simple, honest, meaningful music that had a point and evoked emotion. I looked back to my original tastes and was also introduced, through wonderful friends and bandmates, to a whole world of traditional, bluegrass and Celtic music. This was it! A breath of fresh air that brought pure, naked and unabashed emotion to music at a time when I needed just that. It was the first time I felt at home with a guitar.
